Hi, I’m Nika — a photographer, a content creator, and the person behind Nika Stroble Photography.

If you’ve found your way here, welcome! I’m so excited to officially introduce the blog and create a space where I can share more than just the finished photographs you see in my portfolio and on social media.

Based in beautiful Key West, Florida, I have the opportunity to photograph people and places throughout the Florida Keys — surrounded by turquoise water, tropical architecture, colorful streets, incredible sunsets, and that unmistakable island personality that makes this little corner of Florida unlike anywhere else.

But for me, photography has never been simply about finding a beautiful backdrop.

It’s about the people in front of my camera.

My goal is to create photographs that actually feel like you.

I love beautiful light, genuine interaction, movement, laughter, little in-between moments and all of the details that tell the story of a particular season in your life.

And if being in front of a camera isn’t exactly your favorite thing, you’re definitely not alone.

Part of my job is helping you feel comfortable. I’ll guide you when you need direction, help with posing without making everything feel overly posed, and give you room to simply enjoy the experience.

You don’t need to know what to do with your hands.

That’s my job.

There is something incredibly special about photographing a wedding in the Florida Keys.

Whether you’re planning an intimate beach elopement with your closest family or celebrating a larger wedding surrounded by everyone you love, my approach is about documenting both the moments you planned and the ones you didn’t.

The nervous excitement before the ceremony. The first look. The way you reach for each other’s hand. The laughter. The happy tears. The sunset portraits. And all those tiny moments happening around you that you may not even notice until you see your photographs.

Couples & Proposals

Key West was practically made for couples’ photography.

From barefoot sessions on the beach to wandering the colorful streets of Old Town, couples sessions can be romantic, playful, relaxed — or a little bit of everything.

I also photograph marriage proposals and help clients think through the photography side of the experience so that such an important moment can be beautifully documented.

Families

Family photographs don’t have to mean everyone standing perfectly still and smiling at the camera.

Of course, we’ll capture that photograph for Grandma.

But we’ll also capture the laughing, walking, hugging, playing and personality that make your family yours.

Key West Is Part of the Story

One of my favorite parts of photographing in Key West is that no two sessions have to look exactly alike.

We can photograph barefoot along the shoreline at Smathers Beach, wander through Old Town beneath palms and bougainvillea, incorporate the colorful architecture Key West is famous for, explore Duval Street, or build a session around a location that’s meaningful to you.

And while Key West and the Florida Keys are home, I’m also available for travel.

If your story takes us somewhere else, I’m always open to packing my cameras and coming along.
