Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between photography and wedding content creation?
-
Think of them as two different ways of experiencing the same celebration.
-
Professional photography is created with professional cameras, lenses and lighting, followed by a detailed editing process to produce the finished images that become part of your wedding gallery.
-
Content creation is intentionally more immediate. Using mobile devices and compact video equipment, we document motion, sound, reactions and casual behind-the-scenes perspectives in a format that's easy to enjoy and share soon after the celebration.
-
Neither is meant to duplicate the other—and that's exactly why they work so well together.
Does content creation replace a wedding videographer?
-
No. They serve different purposes.
-
A professional wedding videographer may use multiple cameras, professional audio equipment and specialized filmmaking techniques to create a cinematic wedding film and preserve important moments such as your complete ceremony, vows and speeches.
-
Our content creation service is designed around shorter, candid video moments and social-friendly storytelling.
-
If having your ceremony, vows, speeches and other important moments professionally recorded in their entirety is important to you, we strongly recommend hiring a professional videographer.
What equipment do you use for photography?
-
Photography is captured using professional Nikon mirrorless camera systems, professional lenses and lighting selected according to the setting and needs of each celebration.
-
Backup equipment is maintained as part of our professional wedding photography workflow.
What equipment do you use for content creation?
-
Our wedding content is captured using current-generation mobile devices and a DJI Osmo Pocket 3.
-
This combination allows us to move easily throughout a celebration while creating high-quality vertical photo and video that retains the personal, less-produced character couples expect from wedding content.
-
Equipment may vary depending on lighting, location, weather and the type of content being captured.
Can we book photography and content creation together?
-
Yes—and the two services are intentionally designed to complement one another.
-
Your professional photography receives the time, equipment and post-production required to create your finished wedding gallery, while content creation provides an additional layer of motion, sound and casual behind-the-scenes coverage.
-
When booked together, we coordinate the coverage so each service has a clear purpose rather than simply creating two versions of the same thing.
Will our photographer also be our content creator?
-
It depends on the celebration and the collection you select.
-
For elopements and smaller celebrations, limited content may sometimes be incorporated alongside photography when the timeline allows.
-
For weddings requiring more extensive coverage, a dedicated content creator may work alongside the photographer. This allows both services to receive the attention they deserve without asking one person to choose between capturing an important photograph and recording content at the same moment.
PHOTOGRAPHY
What is your photography style?
-
Our approach combines genuine, documentary-style moments with thoughtful direction when it's helpful.
-
We want your photographs to feel like your wedding—not an all-day photoshoot.
-
We'll guide you through portraits, family photographs and moments that benefit from direction while allowing the rest of the celebration to unfold naturally.
-
Final images are edited with a clean, true-to-color approach designed to remain beautiful long after current editing trends have passed.
How many photographs will we receive?
-
Every celebration unfolds differently, so we don't build our photography experience around hitting a predetermined image count.
-
Coverage time, number of guests, locations, timeline and the pace of your celebration all influence the size of the final gallery.
-
Instead, we carefully curate the photographs that best represent your day while removing test images, significant duplicates, missed focus, closed eyes and other frames that don't contribute to the finished story.
Are all of our photographs edited?
-
Yes. Every photograph delivered in your final gallery receives professional editing.
-
Standard editing may include adjustments to exposure, white balance, color, contrast, cropping and other refinements necessary to create a polished and consistent gallery.
-
Advanced retouching—including extensive object removal, significant background alterations, body modification or other complex image manipulation—is not considered standard editing and may require an additional fee.
Will we receive the RAW photography files?
-
RAW camera files are not included.
-
RAW files are the unfinished source material used during our professional selection and editing process. Just as the final edit is part of creating the photograph, curation is also part of the service you've hired us to provide.
-
Your finished gallery contains the selected, professionally edited, high-resolution digital images from your celebration.
Can we provide a photography shot list?
-
For family photographs and personally meaningful requests—absolutely.
-
We encourage you to tell us about important family groupings, sentimental details, relationships or traditions we wouldn't otherwise know about.
-
You don't need to create a checklist of standard wedding photographs for us. Instead, use your list to tell us what's unique to your family and celebration so we can give those moments the appropriate attention.
When will we receive our photographs?
-
Wedding photography involves a detailed culling and editing process, so it has a longer turnaround than content creation.
-
Your specific delivery timeframe will be stated in your photography agreement and may vary according to the type and length of coverage and the time of year.
-
When applicable, a small preview may be provided before delivery of the complete gallery.
How are our photographs delivered?
-
Your finished photographs are delivered through a private online gallery where you can view, download and share your high-resolution digital images.
-
We strongly recommend downloading and safely backing up your complete gallery once it has been delivered.
Who owns the photographs, and what are we allowed to do with them?
-
As the photographer, we retain copyright to the photographs we create unless otherwise agreed to in writing. Your delivered wedding photographs include personal-use rights, allowing you to download, share, display and print your images for your own personal enjoyment.
-
You're welcome to share your photographs on social media, with family and friends, and with your wedding vendors.
-
We ask that professionally edited photographs not be altered with filters, presets, screenshots, AI modifications or significant re-editing before being publicly shared, as those changes no longer represent the finished work we delivered.
-
Commercial or promotional use by wedding professionals, publications, brands or other businesses may require separate permission or licensing.
-
If a wedding vendor would like to use your photographs for its own marketing, we're happy to discuss appropriate image usage directly with them.
WEDDING CONTENT CREATION
What exactly do we receive from content creation?
-
Your collection determines the amount of coverage and number of finished edits included.
-
In addition to your edited reels or recap, you'll receive the usable mobile photo and video content captured during your scheduled coverage.
-
This gives you both finished pieces that are ready to enjoy and the individual clips you may want to save, share or turn into your own future posts.
What does “all usable content” mean?
-
We don't promise an arbitrary number of files because every wedding produces a different amount of meaningful material.
-
“All usable content” means the content captured during your scheduled coverage after removing accidental recordings, test clips, major duplicates and technically unusable material.
-
The goal isn't to fill a folder with the highest possible number of files. It's to give you a useful collection of moments from your celebration.
Is the content edited the same way as our professional photography?
-
No—and intentionally so.
-
Your professional photographs go through our complete photography editing process.
-
Content creation is designed to retain a more immediate, natural feel. The individual mobile photos and video clips are generally delivered closer to how they were captured, while the reels and recap videos included in your collection receive creative editing.
How quickly will we receive our content?
-
Content creation is designed for a much faster turnaround than professional photography.
-
Depending on your selected collection, usable content is generally delivered within 24–48 hours. Edited reels and recap pieces are generally delivered within 3–5 days unless your collection specifies otherwise.
Can we send you Reel ideas or trends we like?
-
Of course.
-
If you've saved a Reel, transition, audio idea or creative concept that feels like you, send it before the wedding.
-
We'll consider those ideas while planning your coverage, but we won't turn your wedding into an all-day production just to complete a list of social-media trends.
-
The celebration always comes first.
Will you post directly to our social media accounts?
-
Social-media posting is not included unless specifically stated in your collection.
-
Your content is delivered directly to you, which means you remain in control of what you share, when you share it and what you choose to keep just for yourselves.
WORKING TOGETHER
Can you work alongside another photographer or videographer?
-
Yes.
-
When we're hired solely for content creation, we recognize that your photographer and videographer have their own responsibilities and creative priorities.
-
We'll communicate and work respectfully around their coverage—particularly during moments that only happen once, such as the ceremony, first look, first dance and speeches.
-
Creating great content should never come at the expense of another professional being able to create the work you've hired them to produce.
What happens if it rains?
-
Weather is part of celebrating in the Florida Keys, and conditions can change quickly.
-
When possible, we'll adapt locations, timing and the way we photograph or create content based on the conditions we're given.
-
For outdoor weddings, however, photography and content creation are not substitutes for a weather plan. We strongly recommend establishing a backup location or rain plan with your venue and planning team before the wedding day.
Do you travel?
-
Yes.
-
Photography and wedding content creation are available throughout Key West, the Florida Keys, South Florida and beyond.
-
Travel requirements and fees depend on the location, travel time, transportation, accommodations and scope of coverage.
-
For destination celebrations and multi-event weekends, we'll create a customized proposal based on your itinerary.
Can you cover our rehearsal dinner, welcome party or farewell brunch?
-
Yes.
-
Additional wedding events can be added to select collections, including welcome parties, rehearsal dinners and post-wedding celebrations.
-
For destination couples hosting several events, our Wedding Weekend collection allows us to create coverage around the portions of the weekend you most want documented without requiring continuous coverage between events.
Do you photograph proposals, engagements and elopements?
-
Yes.
-
Our photography and content services aren't limited to traditional wedding days. Coverage may also be available for proposals, engagements, elopements and other celebrations connected to your wedding experience.
How far in advance should we book?
-
Availability is limited, particularly for weekends, holidays and popular wedding dates throughout the Florida Keys.
-
If you'd like both photography and content creation, we recommend reserving both services together whenever possible so the appropriate coverage and team can be planned for your celebration.
How do we book your services?
-
Once you've selected your photography, wedding content creation, or combined collection, we'll prepare your service agreement and invoice for the required deposit.
-
To officially reserve your date and selected services, both the signed contract and required deposit must be received.
-
Dates and services are not held based on an inquiry, consultation, proposal or verbal confirmation alone. Availability remains open until both booking requirements have been completed.
-
Once your signed contract and deposit are received, your date and selected services are officially secured on our calendar.
HAVE SOMETHING ELSE IN MIND?
-
No two celebrations follow exactly the same timeline—and your coverage doesn't have to fit neatly into a box either.
-
Tell us where you're celebrating, what you're planning and which moments matter most to you. We'll help you determine whether photography, content creation or a combination of both is the right fit.
